Queen of Heka

Book II
The Chronicles of Isis and Osiris

Queen of Heka — set in mythological KEMET (Egypt) 5000 years before the first pharaoh against a backdrop of a country enmeshed in savagery, starvation, and corruption — chronicles an epic tale of a love so powerful it conquers death as it follows the harrowing path to divinity.

Iset, pregnant and devastated by Asar's brutal murder, vows to restore ma'at, resurrect and transform Asar into the immortal Lord of the Dead, and reclaim Kemet for their son HERU.

With only heka to shield them, Iset and Heru travel the ancient world, vainly seeking human and divine allies. Beleaguered by Seti and Ra and pursued by the crocodile god, SOBEK, whose passion for Iset turns deadly, Iset awakens Heru's heka while Asar's ka (spirit) trains him as a warrior. Together, Iset, Asar's ka, and Heru engage in a daring battle of wits, magic, and power to challenge the King of Gods and remap the face of heaven and earth.
